After completing his B.Comm degree at Stellenbosch University, Pieter Pohl co founded Humble Pie Entertainment and spent more than five years working on the marketing and distribution of various film releases in South Africa.

Clients included Ster-Kinekor, Nu Metro, Animated Family Films, Aquavision, Brettian Productions and Sony Entertainment. Films included One Night With The King, Flywheel, Fireproof, Courageous, Soul Surfer, Tornado and The Kalahari Horse Whisperer, The Blind Side, Faith Happens to name a few.
In 2009, he started the film investment division for Humble Pie Entertainment and successfully managed the portfolios for a hand full of investors. In 2011, he established Innovation Film Investments (Pty) Ltd. as an independent company and now actively manages a variety of portfolios and continues to seek opportunities in the film industry. Pieter’s vision for Innovation Film Investments is to be a private equity marketplace opportunity for a variety of net-worth investors seeking to include film investments as part of their high risk investment mix.
